Limited 2-Year Warranty for The Murf
WallRise, LLC warrants that The Murf wall-mounted desk will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Factory Seconds (refurbished units) are sold as-is and are not covered by this warranty.
What’s Covered
- Defects in the electric actuator, monitor arm, and desk structure under normal use. Normal use means operating the desk as intended, within the 90lbs weight limit, and following the installation and maintenance instructions provided.
- Repairs or replacement of defective parts at our discretion.
What Voids This Warranty
Doing any of the following ends warranty coverage:
Voids Warranty
Painting the desk. A painted unit cannot be refurbished if it is ever exchanged, so painting The Murf voids its warranty.
Voids Warranty
Modifying or customizing the desk. Any modification or customization is done at your own risk and is your responsibility; it voids the warranty.
Voids Warranty
Running wires across the motor-shaft cylinder. Do not route wires across the vertical motor-shaft cylinder. As the desk travels, wires or objects can be pinched, damaging the wiring, the desk, or the motor.
What’s Not Covered
- Damage from improper installation, misuse, or exceeding the 90lbs weight limit.
- Normal wear and tear (e.g., scratches, fading).
- Damage caused by unauthorized repairs.
- Damage from placing objects in the motor-shaft path that obstruct or strike the actuator mechanism.
- Warping or movement of the wood caused by humidity or seasonal and environmental changes (see “Good to Know” below).
Installation Requirements
Attention
At least one wall stud is required when installing. For brick or concrete, use masonry-rated hardware such as Tapcon-style concrete screws, sleeve anchors, or wedge anchors. Installations that don’t meet these requirements are not covered.
Good to Know
Normal, Not a Defect
Up to about 3 mm of flex at the worksurface under load is normal. It comes from the cantilever design and the dropdown stays, and is not a defect.
